Flyspain has seen over 300 visiting pilots last year alone. All learning to thermal, improving their personal knowledge of flying, climbing out with the local Griffin vultures and making regular Xc flights from Algo to Ronda and beyond....
Thanks everyone for making it such a great year, we have qualified over 150 pilots this year. The dependable weather of southern Spain and the great team that is Flyspain have had a blinding year of flying and tuition.
I have been having a few texts and emails from regular customers throughout November, I am sorry I try not to sound too cheerful but in truth we have in deed flown at least four or five days out of every six day week. Its been lovely this week alone we have had thermalling to 2,000ft plus from the South easterly, 1500ft above the westerly a day after in close harmony with the local vultures and a cracking day at Montellano. So many have asked me recently what Xmas and January are like, to my memory of the last six years December and Jan for me could not be any better, so much daylight
Wales was great but really hard work. We achieved a lot despite the weather with a total of over 25 teachable days in July and August but I can't hide my delight and relief in being back home in Spain. Don't get me wrong I do love the UK but blue skies, bucketfuls of daylight, reliable flying in t-shirt and shorts just rocks.
