Dylan Mansley of FlySpain wins British Paragliding Championships in Colombia
Top start to 2024
Dylan was invited to join an Ozone Team in the new Ozone SRS competition circuit for 2024, a competition aimed at Categoray C class pilots, so in short non CCC class comp gliders that are more standard wings than you'd find on any hill.
He took his Ozones latest Photon and Forza harness and in his first competition of January 2024 won convincingly the competition just five days afetr his 20th birthday!
Following that result, he was encouraged to enter the Colombian Open that preceded the Brtish Winter Open. Having come in the top ten out of 150 pilots Dylan entered the 2024 Brit winter Open. After a grueling 7 days of competition flying in booming flying conditions Dylan came top making him British Champion. An outstanding result for a hardworking and conscientious young pilot. From that result and another top ten pre pwc competition the following week,
British team selection
He has now been selected for the British team going to the Europeans this May in Southern Spain. IN four week of competitions, he has flown over 2600 kilometers, tasks ranging form 60 - 130 k per day. We of course felt that he should have a few days off before he began coaching some of our guiding group In Colombia.
