Arak 2

The ARAK2 combines everything you desire from a paraglider and adapts to every demand and challenge. It represents easy handling, powerful performance, safety, and most importantly: pure flying pleasure. Whether you’re an ascending pilot, a casual flyer, or an experienced pilot, the ARAK2 enables you to fully enjoy the freedom of flying.

Launch Thanks to the user-friendly line setup, the preparations for takeoff and ground handling are effortless. The canopy rises steadily and consistently above the pilot during the inflation phase, without overshooting uncontrollably. Handling We have adopted the highly valued sporty and direct handling of the ARAK1. The bank angle can be controlled very well, and dynamic flight maneuvers are very enjoyable due to the direct handling. The wing is stable in flight and provides comprehensible feedback to the pilot. The initially rather light control pressure increases linearly and becomes noticeably harder before reaching the stall point. As a result, even longer flights are fatigue-free. The pilot has excellent control over the canopy thanks to the progressive handling and can feel the feedback clearly through the brakes. Due to its simple, intuitive handling, the pilot maintains full control even in challenging flight conditions. Performance Thanks to its stability and improved flight characteristics, the performance of the ARAK2 is easy to explore.

Compared to its predecessor, the ARAK2 has significantly gained in performance through its new design and enhanced manufacturing techniques, while still being consistently easy, if not even easier, to fly. The ARAK2 offers even higher passive safety while providing the same level of flying fun as its predecessor. The forgiving climb behavior enables the pilot to thermal simply and efficiently, even in demanding conditions. Extreme flight The ARAK2 exhibits manageable and forgiving flight characteristics during extreme flight maneuvers. Information for SIV training: Executing a B-Stall is easily achievable. The best way to execute the stall is to grab the lines above the line shackles. Full stalls are easier to fly than on the predecessor; the wing stalls flat over the wingspan. The behavior in the spiral dive is very well controllable.

JET FLAPS

Our JET FLAPS extend the green arc as you approach the stall point, which substantially increases safety and also improves climb performance. SHARK NOSE Together with a corresponding wing design, the shark nose technology improves pressure distribution in the canopy substantially. Advantages: much more solid flyingfeeling and substantial performance gain, especially when gliding on bar. RIGID FOIL The Rigid Foil nylon wires on the leading edge help maintain its shape and ensure constant ram air pressure.

Advantages

Better takeoff behavior, more performance and lower canopy weight. 3D-SHAPING A precise calculation of the leading edge geometry and the installation of an additional strip of fabric reduce wrinklin in this sensitive part of the glider. Advantages: exact wing shape, more performance. MINI RIBS Doubling the number of cells at the trailing edge increases its shape stability substantially. Advantage: fewer vortices improve the aerodynamics and with it the performance.

Skywalk Arak 2 Colours

C-WIRES Nylon wires sewn into the glider over the anchor points of the C-level lines. Advantages: better load distribution, reduced drag, more performance. AUTOMATIC SAND RELEASE SYSTEM Porous openings of the profile ribs at the trailing edge ensure that sand and dirt in the glider are automatically guided to the wingtip where they can trickle out. This helps preserve the material and “relieves” the trailing edge. SMART LINK SYSTEM Color coded seams on the risers to ensure that the risers are connected correctly and without being twisted. red = left; blue = right SPEED CONTROL Riser steering system which allows the pilot to even out turbulence, speed and pitch while flying on speed bar without having to release the speed bar
