Careful B placement
Over the last three years our development team have been very gratified by the popularity of our EPSILON 8 Basic-Intermediate, one of the best selling Epsilon so far. Sales figures are one feature, but the wealth of customer satisfaction and wonderful feedback are the most valued results of their work. The positioning of our mid EN-B series within its intended pilot group looks to be perfectly judged to us, and we have therefore invested much energy in maintaining the strengths and required piloting level of the EPSILON 8 for the new model. In other words the EPSILON 9 will fit exactly between our beginner ALPHA 6 and the Performance-Intermediate IOTA 2.
Intensive development work means more performance
Compared with the forerunner the EPSILON 9 has clearly better performance at no detriment to passive safety. Among a number of other things this is due to its additional two cells, miniribs and fine-tuned low drag stabilos (wingtips). Arching has also been modified, stress-distribution improved and seam technology refined.
Latest technology and features
EPSILON 9 technology upgrade is evident to the naked eye. The new EPSILON is the first ADVANCE model to have internally sewn miniribs. This feature no longer risks the abrasion-sensitivity of external sewing. The glider also has a modern line mix – covered base lines for easy sorting, and robust, uncovered top lines for top performance. As one might expect, the EPSILON 9 includes EASY CONNECT, big ear system with Quick Snap, Advanced Air Scoop and Sliced Diagonals.
Precise handling and high feelgood factor
The EPSILON 9 keeps its cool through thick and thin. It answers its controls accurately and immediately, and is reassuringly easy to centre in a thermal. It makes its way through turbulence with good pitch and directional stability. This contributes to the pilot’s sense of enjoyment and feeling of contentment in the air. Alongside safety this is one of the most important aspects of the Basic-Intermediate group.

The EPSILON 9 will be produced in 5 sizes. The ideal weight ranges are identical to those of the IOTA 2. There are four colour combinations to choose from.
The EPSILON 9 is eminently suited to paramotor flying due to its exceptionally good takeoff behaviour, and high pitch and directional stability in flight. DGAC paramotor certification work for 24, 26, 28 and 30 sizes is currently underway. Paramotor risers with trims are available for the EPSILON 9 as an option. For free flying (no motor) the trimmer loops can simply be fixed in the main support carabiners.
