Gin Atlas 2It never gets old opening a package of new toys. Maybe it is the anticipation of what the package beholds that excites us. That’s my excuse for my constant  A few careful and precarious cuts with the Stanley and a pleasant surprise pops out. Two brand new gliders arrived for our demo shelves, two Gin Atlas 2 gliders to be exact. Come take a test flight on one of these great wings…

The Gin Atlas is a mid-level En B wing with, arguably, underestimated performance. Suitable for intermediate and progressing pilots. The wing has the dynamic characteristics to respond to small inputs on the controls yet has such a great safety margin, you aren’t stalling or spinning this wing accidentally.

Gin state that the wing has ‘thermal sniffing’ ability with a tendency to turn toward the core of the thermal. Turning toward the lift may a fantastic and handy training tool for low airtime and beginner XC pilots. I can’t wait to see this in action… Check out their promo video here.

Using the latest technology to roll out of Gin’s R&D and applying advances adopted by their competition wings in lower rating wings, Gin have done well with the Atlas 2. One of the notable inclusions is the use of Gin’s Equalized Pressure Technology (EPT) for increased stability and performance. In recent years’ manufacturers such as Gin have utilised high tech approaches such as the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to perfect and optimize the airfoil, reducing aspects such as drag and perfecting EPT.

Sounds like a great wing, fancy a flight on the Gin Atlas or maybe you have your eye on something else, why not check out our Post CP and Progressional Paragliding Holidays or our Guided Trips Abroad in Nepal, Colombia and France.
