Algodonales is the most popular flying resort in Southern Spain, its a world class area for flying but wonderfully accessible for all 12 months a year. It has everything any pilot of whatever level might like, reliable weather, easy access to a mixture of flying sites, easy launches and mostly big and simple landing fields.  Its been the home to regualar national and international competitions for the last two decades and is considered the gem in the Andalucian crown for flying. The village that sits in the shade of the most famous flying site here is typically Spanish and not in any way touristy. The feeling is always ´manana´ the food and drink and are plentiful and cheap and the ongoing style of life that’s perfectly Spanish. Holidays & courses for the newly qualified or low airtime pilot

Whether you have five minutes  or fifty plus hours, our free flying weeks are all about giving you the best oportunity to fly long into the evening. For the low airtime pilot wanting to grasp the skills and the information needed to thermal abroad and fly with the vultures, we run Pilot thermalling weeks every month.

Our holidays run from saturday to saturday, include valuable airport transfers, accommodation and proffessional guiding so you have a stress free week. We offer class driven and informal briefings on both sites and the local weather. We discuss how to get the best from the day and potentially make short Xc´s in the company of seasoned pilots. Our guiding is Instructor driven so if you want help, then we have staff on hand to get the best out of your time here, we encourage the use of 2mtr radios so we can if you need it help you  occasionally in thermalls or drag you off for a unexpected Xc adventure in the beauty that is Andalucia.

Cost of these weeks are 500 € including accomodation, transfers*, guiding & retrieve.

All holidays are geared to the individual, if you can already thermal then we take you cross country and show the locality. The holidays run side by side the more experienced join the lead instructor during the stronger part of the day , tthe lower airtime take off later with another instructor. If all you want is guiding and accommodation, a convient airport transfer saving you time and money then email us here. Algodonales is the most reliable destination in southern Spain that offers a wide variety of flying, a great opportunity to master your thermalling and make interesting Xc´s in beautiful and varied countryside and finish off with cold beer and tapas!

Club Groups

Are always welcome and we do offer discounts to self contained groups wanting a accomodationand retrieve packages only, bes to enquire via the enquiries page.

Pilot thermalling and Cross-country Weeks - €500 : includes;  accommodation, guiding, coaching, retrieve and free airport transfers worth  160 Euros each way. Note, although to date we have never run a half empty course if there is less than 3 pilots to pick up there might be an additional charge for transfers, please nequire when booking.

Advanced Courses

Every year we run courses additional to what we have here in Spain, some are aimed at low airtime and kite skills like the week in France at the famous Dune de Pyla in July.

January 2011 - South Africa Safari

Every January or February we run an Xc fortnight or free flying holiday to somewhere different, to date we´ve run successful trips to Mexico, Morrocco and South Africa, dates for South Africa are out now and places are limited to Eight.
