Paragliding news

Bucking the recession

Regardless of the recession, FlySpain has been inundated with enquiries for paragliding lessons and tuition from pilots from the highlands of Scotland to London and the South East to the length and breadth of Ireland. Plenty of pilots enrolled for courses in Wales, and Flyspain is already fully booked for both paragliding tuition and guiding up until November!

Our summer school in South Wales has been a great success too, Rhossilli worked its magic as ever and early August gave us a string of flyable days.Congratulations on qualifying go to the following Dai Evans, Stephen Lane, Lisa Wood , Blaise and Paul of Hadnam, Mark Torres, Phil Baker and  Neil Gerrard from Skye!
All completed their Club pilot with us in August and many are already due to come and visit us in Spain.
Flyspain have a new revised website, photo galleries and film page, all very exciting stuff as well as their very popular facebook blog where you can touch base with other pilots.

Winter flying rocks

I have been having a few texts and emails from regular customers throughout November, I am sorry I try not to sound too cheerful but in truth we have in deed flown at least four or five days out of every six day week. Its been lovely this week alone we have had thermalling to 2,000ft plus from the South easterly, 1500ft above the westerly a day after in close harmony with the local vultures and a cracking day at Montellano. So many have asked me recently what Xmas and January are like, to my memory of the last six years December and Jan for me could not be any better, so much daylight

Crisis or No Crisis...people still want to learn to fly Paragliders

Although the economy of most countries to all appearances seems fairly gloomy, it won't stop people realising their dreams and wanting Paragliding lessons. Now more than ever its important to get the most for your paragliding tuition investment. Would it not just be easier to learn to fly abroad? What the new student never realises when they begin a course, that achieving consecutive paragliding lessons within a short period of time is all so often hampered by the British Climate.

December has been great, the weather kind, it rained heavily only on changeover day! We have had a great mix of students with Dave and son Dan, James, Will, Simon, Richard, Steve and Nillay. The majority stayed on to complete their Club Pilot Liscence and help out one half day with our olive picking.
