Getting Here

Algodonales and this western side of Andalucia are well served by airports, the most popular and ideal for our free airport transfer is Malaga on the Costa del Sol - 1.30 min. To our west, we have Jerez (an hour away) and Seville to our NW 1hr 15.

Trains in Spain can be fairly intermittent and the nearest station is in Ronda.

Bus services are much better with regular services most days from all points on the compass. We´ve included Directions below if coming by bus or Car from Malaga.

Ideally, you need to fly into the main Airport in Malaga, it is the largest and busiest airport in the south of Spain, therefore, offering many flights at extremely reasonable prices. There are many companies offering very low-cost flights over the Internet, these are the most popular ones; Easy Jet, Travel Jungle, Flight Line and of course Tui Airways. A good new site is Kayak

Malaga or Marbella to Algodonales takes approx. one and a half hours and gives you the opportunity to see some of the stunning sights of Andalucia. Alternatively, you can fly to either Jerez or Cadiz, approximately an hour and a half from Algodonales but there will be a more limited offer on flight times. Companies offering flights to these destinations include Cheap Flights, Easyjet & Tui Airlines

Map of directions for getting to Fly Spain from Malaga airport

Get directions on Google maps » if you look for Algodonales on Google maps you'll see FlySpain listed in the village

Leave the airport heading towards Malaga. After 20-30m you should reach a roundabout, go straight over, the Car Rentals depots should be on your left. Immediately after crossing the roundabout, move into the left hand lane, as the road splits keep left heading towards Malaga.

On this road you take the exit for Antequera, it is approx. the second exit but it is a big blue sign and well sign posted. You should now be on the N340 heading east.

Continue on this road for a few miles until you see the signs for Cartama, approx. second exit. This is a smaller sign. This is a difficult and busy junction.

Take the slip road off for Cartama BUT keep in the left-hand lane which bears left as the road splits. Then immediately move into the right-hand lane looking out for traffic joining from the right.

This lane bears off right with a signpost to Cartama, you should go around until you join another dual carriageway, this is the road to Cartama and Campillos. This road takes you out of Malaga, past Cartama, and north up to Campillos without turning off and takes 30 – 45 mins.

As you approach Campillos you will see the town to your left but don’t take the first left turn into the town.

Go on another 200m and take the second turn towards Campillos, Jerez, and Cadiz. This road takes you through the edge of Campillos and straight to Algodonales, (45 mins), there is a 24-hour petrol station on the road in Campillos.

Arriving in Algodonales

As you approach Algodonales from Campillos you will go through a tunnel, this will be approx 45 mins from leaving Campillos and 20k after passing the village of Olvera.

As you exit the tunnel keep right towards Jerez and Algodonales, then move into the left-hand lane and head towards Jerez, don’t go into Algodonales.

Continue along this main road until you see a Repsol Garage, approx 2km.

Pull into the garage and you will see a track to the right of the garage building running up the hill.

Take this track, at the top of the track, is a vague T junction, follow the road right past an old spring.

Continue along this road for approx. 3km until the first set of terraced houses then shortly after the road splits.

Bear left onto a short upper road and park there or just before on the left-hand side. You are only 50 meters from the house.

Parking can be limited so try and park here on the right-hand side or further back on the main road.

Walk no more than 50 meters up the road and our house is the first on the right, the door on the left, No.41b.

Calle Sierra 41B – The Eagles Nest Algodonales
