Algodonales and this western side of Andalucia is well served for airports, the most popular and ideal for our free airport transfer is Malaga on the Costa de Sol - 1.30 min. To our west we have Jerez (an hour away) and Seville to our NW 1hr 15.

Trains in Spain can be fairly intermittent and the nearest station is in Ronda.

Bus services are much better with regular services most days from all points on the compass. We´ve included Directions below if coming by bus or Car from Malaga.

Best Airport - cheap airlines

Ideally you need to fly into the main Airport in Malaga, it is the largest and busiest airport in the south of Spain therefore offering many flights at extremely reasonable prices. There are many companies offering very low cost flights over the Internet, these are the most popular ones; Easy Jet, Travel Jungle, Flight Line. A good new site is Kayak

Malaga or Marbella to Algodonales takes approx. one and a half hours and gives you the opportunity to see some of the stunning sights of Andalucia. Alternatively, you can fly to either Jerez or Cadiz, approximately an hour and a half from Algodonales but there will be a more limited offer on flight times. Companies offering flights to these destinations include Cheap Flights and BMI Baby.

Directions from the Airport to our paragliding accommodation

Leave airport heading towards Malaga. After 20-30m you should reach a roundabout, go straight over, the Car Rentals depots should be on your left. After crossing the roundabout, move into the left hand lane, as the road splits keep left heading towards Malaga. On this road you take the exit for Antequera, it is approx the second exit but it is a big blue sign and well sign posted. You should now be on the N340 heading east.

Continue on this road for a few miles until you see the signs for Cartama, approx second exit. This is a smaller sign. This is a difficult junction. As you take the slip road off for Cartama keep in the left hand lane which bears left as the road splits. Then immediately move into the right hand lane looking out for traffic joining from the right.

This lane bears off right with a sign post to Cartama, you should go around until you join another dual carriage way, this is the road to Cartama and Campillos. This road takes you out of Malaga, past Cartama and north up to Campillos without turning off and takes 30 –45 mins.

As you approach Campillos Go on another 200m and take the second turn towards Campillos, Jerez and Cadiz. This road takes you through Campillos and straight to Algodonales, (45 mins), there is a 24 hour petrol station on the road in Campillos. Bus times below are for the Los Amarillos (green/yellow) office inside the station. Cost about 10 Euros. N.B its important to ask if your bus is a direct route or around the houses bus the difference in travel time being 1.5 – 2.5 hrs!

The times are for Malaga to Ronda, we can generally easily pick you up from there but there are less frequent buses to Algodonales too – again just ask.
